Many hotels would love to claim to be the “it” hotel in Miami’s South Beach, but who can really say? With the constant waxing and waning of Miami’s ritzy clientele, it’s often difficult to anticipate tastes. Here’s a look at a few hotels which are open today; but hurry down to check them out; as they say, here today, gone tomorrow.

THE HOTEL:

Located in “the heart” of South Beach stands an art deco property “where high style meets history;” modest though they are, The Hotel located in South Beach does offer a lot of stuff and is billed as the perfect venue for a romantic Miami vacation, time with family, or stealing away a few moments with friends. The Hotel offers a large array of amenities which include: Spire bar & lounge, roof top pool, an award winning restaurant & bar which offers indoor and outdoor dining Wish, smoke free rooms and common areas, wireless internet, two line phones with data port and voice mail, in room CD/Stereo/VCR system, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, cable TV and movie channels, mini bar, fitness studio, gift shop, concierge, maid service, valet, beach chairs, and umbrellas among many, many others.

LOEWS MIAMI BEACH:

Loews operates a very famous movie theatre chain; I’m not certain that this hotel is the same Loews but I wouldn’t put it past them. Located right on South Beach near Lummus Park, Loews offers art deco styling and that little something extra to the guests staying in its confines. With an ocean front pool, majestic staircase, beachside access, oceanfront pool, gracious lobby and fantastic rooms, the Loews Miami Beach offers its guests a little bit of luxury right in their own hands.

SHELBORNE HOTEL

Finally another proponent of the Art Deco movement, the Shelborne Beach Resort and Hotel is located directly on South Beach. Minutes from both international airports, for over 60 years, the Shelborne Beach Resort and Hotel has exemplified the luxury and grandeur of not only South Beach but the whole Art Deco District in Miami. Offering your standard fare of amenities including swimming, a pool with cabanas, café, and bar, rooftop fitness center, 24 hour concierge, beach & lawn volleyball, and bi-lingual staff, the Shelborne Hotel knows what its guests want. How could it not? It’s been in existence for over 60 years.

South Beach is an area constantly searching for identity; trying to keep up with itself and the trends of its trendiest residents. A stay in any of these or any other South Beach hotel is probably not an experience that will be soon forgotten.
